Student Loan Repayments

HMRC receently announced that certain taxpayers who have student loans have overpaid their student loan deductions.

The errors is in respect of approx. 16,000 taxpayers who submit self assessment tax returns and who also receive certain benefits in kind, including car benefits. The errors first arose is tax year 2016/2017 and the overpayments typically amout to around £100.

HMRC has already contacted the taxpayers involved.
