Personal Liability Notices (PLNs)

PLNs transfer a tax liability from a company to a director of the company.

PLNs are issued in certain circumstances when a company goes into liquidation with tax debts.

HMRC  will issue PLNs where they can prove that the failure of the company to pay its taxes, is due to fraud or serious neglect of an officer.
