Mansion Tax

In the 2025 budget the Chancellor annnounced the introduction of a mansion tax.  Once introduced, properties with a value of £2m or more would face an annual charge of between £2,500 and £7,500.

The Office of Budget Responsibility has forecast that around 165,000 property owners will be caught by the new tax.
