Companies House Filing Fee Increases
Companies House have announced further increases to filing fees from 1 February 2026.
The cost of forming a company increases from £50 to £100 (prior to May 2024 it was £10).
The cost of submitting a Confirmation Statement increases from £34 to £50 (prior to May 2024 it was £13).
The percentage increases in the above costs from April 2024 to February 26 is 1,000% for company formation and 385% for Confirmation Statements.
As of March 2025 there were approximately 5.4 million ‘live’ companies registered at Companies House, so the Confirmation Statement fee increases since April 2024 represents an additional £200million pounds in income for Companies House.
The announcement on GOV.UK website states ‘We review our fees every year to make sure they’re set at the right level and reflect the cost of delivering our services.’
